The Readlyn Historical Society was established in June 1994 for the purpose of preserving the history of Readlyn and the surrounding areas.
Our museum is located in the building that was formerly Lockard’s Filling Station, with a second museum building behind it. Together, these spaces help tell the story of the people, businesses, and traditions that shaped our community.
Our mission: This organization exists to curate the history of Readlyn, Iowa — including our one old grump!
